Medical Ward
This 15 bed ward, known as Sleeman Wing, provides general medical and palliative care.
Surgical Ward
The surgical ward is a modern 30 bed ward. Surgical services available include orthopaedics, urology, colorectal, plastics, dental, general surgery, ophthalmology and ear, nose & throat.

Sub-Acute
Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) is sub-acute care of chronic or complex conditions associated with ageing, cognitive dysfunction, chronic illness or disability. These conditions require inpatient admission for review, treatment and management by a geriatrician and multidisciplinary team for a defined episode of care.
Midwifery
Our Team Midwifery Care Service offers continuity of care during the ante-natal, birth and post natal period. The midwifery ward offers two modern birthing rooms, a nursery and four obstetric beds. The service has received many awards and commendations from the industry.
Paediatrics
Paediatric services are flexible in accordance with the needs of adults and children. Parents are encouraged to participate in the care of their children during hospitalisation.
Operating Theatre
The operating complex consists of two operating suites.
Haemodialysis
Local and visiting renal dialysis patients maintain a quality of life by receiving haemodialysis in a modern and friendly environment. For more information click HERE.
Urgent Care Centre
Bass Coast Regional Health does not provide a public funded Accident and Emergency Service. The Urgent Care Centre is serviced by private Medical Practitioners and private Radiology and Pathology providers. These providers will raise a fee for the service. The hospital does not raise a charge and provides twenty-four hour nursing care.

Pathology
Gippsland Pathology operates this department. It offers a range of tests which are performed on site, with a courier service three times a day to take more highly specialised pathology testing to larger laboratories. Charges apply to private patients, otherwise the service is bulk billed for healthcare and pension cardholders.

Pharmacy
The hospital’s pharmacy is responsible for supplying most medications whilst you are an inpatient of the hospital. You will be required to bring your own inhalers, eye drops, patches or other specialised drugs. The Pharmacists also carry out medication review and education for most inpatients of the hospital. Medications in the aged care facilities are supplied on prescription.
The pharmacy may dispense up to one months supply of medication on discharge for inpatients, under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). To assist this process, please ensure you have your medicare and other relevant card numbers available.
Medical Imaging
Medical Imaging Australia (MIA) operates this department. It offers a range of general x-ray procedures, ultrasound, doppler ultrasound, computerised tomography (CAT scan), mammography and orthopantomography (dental x-ray). Charges apply to private patients, otherwise the service is bulk billed for health care and pension cardholders.
