- Bass Coast Regional Health receives a Gold Award through the Australasian Reporting Awards for the 2006 Annual Report.
- The service has achieved an outstanding result with its triennial ISO Audit, re-certification has been granted for a further three years.
- Griffiths Point Lodge maintains Commonwealth Accreditation for three years.
- A new 24 set community bus will be purchased thanks to financial assistance provided by the Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation, William Buckland Foundation, Helen McPherson Smith Trust, Collier Charitable Fund, Jack Brockhoff Foundation and the Bass Coast community.
- The Hit for Henry Charity Golf Day raises $20,770 that will be used to purchase equipment for district nursing, the hospital and the nursing homes.
- The R.E. Ross Trust has donated $15,100 to further enhance and support the ‘Fun with Children Program.’
- The RACV Foundation provides $4,251 to purchase equipment for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs.
- The Lions Club of Phillip Island has donated $1,000 towards the purchase of a Swift Lift Hoist for Griffiths Point Lodge.
- Thanks to a grant from the Grosvenor Foundation a Support for Women with Breast Cancer (STEPS) Program will begin in July.
- An additional $250,000 was provided from the Department of Human Services to expand the Aids and Equipment Program.
- A new image intensifier worth $80,000 has been purchased for the operating suite.
